Time off is accrued monthly so if you don't use it, it accrues nicely and carries over.
The compensation was a lot less than other comparable jobs. The 403b plan didn't have a good employer matching contribution either
the dental was affordable, the medical was not and the 403b employers match was a total joke, they should have offered a higher per cent
What makes the benefits package not all that great is how expensive the health insurance is. Our company should put more employer $ into our HSA medical accounts.
Worst: expensive medical insurance, paltry amount of vacation/sick time offered, non-competitive retirement plan. Best: affordable vision and dental insurance, company sponsored life insurance
Employees have to meet a Deductable before everything is covered
The insurance for healthcare coverage was way too expensive and I feel like this employer spent way too much on lots of other unimportant types of things only for the purpose of their image rather than offering much more competitive benefits to their employees.
The best thing is the team atmosphere and the culture, but the worst was definitely both the 401k/403b and the health insurance. The health insurance here is too costly, especially if you are on a fixed budget. As for the 401k/403, the per cent of match being offered through The Village should be much higher.
Your 403K/401B plan is very lackluster. The Aetna plan for the medical insurance is not satisfactory either. Change both the 40K/401B plans to reflect a higher match, and restructure the medical insurance. If there is a High Deductible health plan in place, the employer needs to provide better contributions to the Webster HSA accounts.
Best: some of the company perks, getting to go on activities with the youth and included meals also helped. Worst off, was definitely the insurance. The high 1500 deductible was way too steep and the employer should definitely make more sizable contributions to fund their employees' health savings accounts.
