Average altogether. The longer you're employed with the company, the more time off you get. I know some people here who have been with the company for many years who were able to accrue lots of time off.

The paid time off in this company is slightly below average. For all the hard work needed of staff to give of themselves I was hoping this benefit was also a little better.

My opinion of the vacation and paid time off is it could definitely improve because it is not very competitive here in this agency. For example, my current job offers me much more vacation and paid time off in the shorter amount of time which I just started working there compared to I received much less vacation time here at The Village for Families and Children after 3 whole years of service.

OK, but I wished it was more for staff who are relatively new in the employer. Another suggestion is to reframe how you organize the sick time Vs. the vacation time. Lots of employers today lump everything together as PTO, (Paid Time Off) instead of requiring staff to use sick time for emergencies

You're not going to get very much, especially if you haven't been with the employer for very long. They use a tiered system for determining time off, and you'll have to work here for about twenty or thirty long years before you accrue very much time off.

Zero stars needs to be an option, okay maybe at least a half star. The vacation time off was pretty lame. You'll have to work here for a very long time to get a sizeable amount of vacation time, newbies don't get all that much.

Honestly it could and should have been more particularly for newer staff. Some staff who were with the agency for a very long time received more time off commensorate with their years of service. However, newer staff should have been started off with more competitive amounts of earned leave.

This benefit needs to improve more then anything else. For example, all staff should get at least 20 or 30 days per year. Time off at my last job was much better

Again, not very good. It's a shame I have to keep answering with 1 stars ratings, but almost all the benefits offered were not good including vacation and time off. Newer staff received very little time off, and part timers received even less because they were only scheduled a certain number hours. Make this benefit and others more competitive please!

I don't feel like this benefit is very competitive either! Vacation, sick time and bereavement leave are all distributed separately at the organization. But I feel like more options should definitely be included in the bereavement leave policy. Many people identify "family" as many different people in their lives. The organization only recognizes a few definitions of "family' in its bereavement leave policy. As for the vacation time, the number of hours especially for part time staff needs to improve a lot.
