We strive to bring together and develop extraordinary colleagues who share our passion for making significant contributions to the world.
One way we do this is by offering a competitive pay and benefits package, called My Total Rewards, tailored to meet the diverse needs of our colleagues around the globe - at every stage of their personal and professional lives.
The best thing is they offer a great benefits package. Healthcare is never a concern, dollar for dollar 401k match up to 6%, 3 weeks paid vacation from day one (increasing for every year of service), great employee discounts.
Thermo Fisher offers an excellent comprehensive benefits package for minimal cost to employees. Leave plans are very generous and the 401k retirement match is great.
Overall decent benefits but their ESPP program is laughable. They have probably one of the worst programs in the country only offering 5% off market price at the end of six months. There is no rolling price cap or even a decent percent off the market price. You're probably better off dollar cost averaging your stock purchases if you plan on investing in the company. Perhaps not a benefit but their travel policy is draconian. It's 2018 and they expect you to be able to book a hotel for business travel for less than $150 per night in major American cities.
One of the best benefits of working for Thermo Fisher Scientific is their take of Short Term Disability. Most companies make you file with the State you live in and you can wait 3-4 months to receive your payment. Thermo Fisher pays you and they have an additional insurance that pays you to make you close to whole.
15 days PTO + holidays, 6% 401K match, annual bonus, normal insurance benefits. Sick time seems to be incorporated into the PTO instead of a separate category.
Barebones...health plan is not cheap and doesn't offer the best networks. Vacation is minimal for the industry.
The benefits package is pretty good. The office environment is very lacking. It is very old, run down, not enough parking, no free coffee.
Coverage is decent and the PTO is nice
The health insurance was pretty good, great company matched 401K... there were also a bunch of other benefits that you could use on Uconnect site...discounts for anything you could think of IE: Laptops, cars, tickets...etc
It is good insurance, covers everyone in my house cheaper than other companies I have worked for in the past. You get many options for coverage.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
