Thermo Fisher Scientific is a large company. Not the best and not the worst. People are great to work with although there is constant change and turnover.
Good bonus, Company is doing well and is v profitable. Several acquisitions recently. Company getting bigger and bigger. Great 401k (6% match) good health (dental, vision) insurance.
Cigna isnt accepted very many places. It is high deductible and acts only as hazard insurance
Employee can only get 5% off for the stock. Health care insurance cost is high. No sick leave.
The health care coverage is good and cost is about what other companies take out of your pay. Very frugal with PTO. They do not separate sick time vs vacation. When I left I had four weeks, but that's because I wouldn't of taken the job without at least four weeks. NO ONE informed me that the PTO time was also taken if you were sick. Being exempt in previous companies they only worried about use of sick time if you abused the system. Also being a global company many of their other facilities outside the U.S. get more time off due to government requirements.
