    Considering ALL of the benefits at Thomas Allen, Inc - I give it 5 stars. Great PTO accrual & rollover, life insurance, short term and long term disability optional, bereavement pay, paid supervision (for social work licensees), flexible schedule, some occasional work from home capabilities, HSA, FSA, dependent care HSA, tuition assistance, cell phone discounts, paid training, etc. For PTO, it accrues at a very good pace. But, for holidays, we only get the very major holidays off. I wish they had something like a floating holiday so those of us who don’t celebrate Christmas (for example) could have time off for our holiday. Health insurance premiums are relatively high (but choose pre-tax and suddenly the high premiums don’t affect your pay that much). It’s a high deductible plan, but trust me- there’s way way higher deductibles out there; plus once you hit it, everything is covered in-network. Thomas Allen pays some into an HSA, and pay part of the deductible once you’re close to reaching it. You can pay into your HSA + use their contribution into your HSA to cover any expenses. Until you hit deductible, you pay out of pocket for everything, but it’s not like a copay where you pay when you arrive. The clinic/hospital will bill your insurance and then send you the bill. You can call them to make a payment plan if needed (and use HSA to pay them). Prescriptions you do have to pay upfront except for preventative, like birth control for example- that’s free. Some other meds are covered at 100% but we don’t get a list so it’s hard to know; could contact health insurance company to find out. If you go to the pharmacy, you’ll learn very quickly how much pharmaceutical companies charge. *I have a couple chronic conditions so need more regular & intensive medications. **Antibiotics & other common medications are very affordable and you can use HSA to pay for those. Bonus: Thomas Allen’s premiums haven’t gone up in several years + any savings in costs of premiums have been passed directly on to employees. Wow! All in all, seriously an amazing benefits package!!

    It can be expensive, especially as a social worker starting in the field without a lot of money saved up after college. However, they provide free supervision for licensing which is a money saver and help to offset insurance costs with company provided HSA money and opportunities to enroll in a 401K and Profit Sharing. Great ability to earn PTO and flex time.

    Monthly premium is high AND so is the deductible. It makes it difficult to afford especially if you have a family. This would be the only reason for me leaving the company at this time.

    Health care benefits are pretty good, and the rates haven't changed much in several years. PTO accrual rate could be a little better.

    Very generous PTO policy. Average number of holidays paid. Wide variety of benefit options. Rates competitive, but not better than average.

    Health insurance is a high deductible plan and expensive. Very few holidays, good PTO (but unable to take PTO if you would like to meet company productiveness standards). Small life insurance policy of $10k.
