The medical plan is available immediately after hire, but most of the other benefits kick in after 90 days. Time off for new people at the corporate office: 2 weeks vacation, 5 personal days, 10 sick days, and all major holidays. Annual bonus for all employees!
Employee discount (15%) was helpful for pets and livestock; 401K was great; not sure about health insurance options as I was in college and on my parents'; they did offer a family leave program, but I did not know anyone who used it; TUITION ASSISTANCE!!! They covered some of my classes relevant to the company (e.g. agricultural) as well as gen eds (e.g. a required writing course)
The benefits package was actually really good for someone of my age and status. I was 25 when I was offered my full time promotion and was then told about the benefits package. It only cost me around $14 per paycheck and I was fully covered for hospital and dental if necessary. Aside from the poor treatment I received upon my leaving, the benefits was one of the few silver linings from this company.
