Seems to be okay but could do better
Better than all the companies i've worked for
I've been with the company for just over 2 years and have almost $2,000 in my 401k plan. When I leave it comes with me.
Trader Joe's puts 10% of you pay in a 401K.
It not a lot and it takes about 7 years to actually add up to make a difference. Most employees don't last a long enough to really make it wort while to enroll.
The 401K Plan is optional and it would make more sense to put the money into a better account like a Roth IRA.
10% of your annual earning is contributed to your 401k on your behalf if you are over 30. If under 30, a 10% cash bonus is paid out. Pretty decent.
You can opt to put your bonus in your 401k if you're under 30. When you're over 30, your bonus automatically goes into your 401k. You become fully vested after 6 years.
i started 7 years ago and my retirement has definftely increased to a sustainble amount
Company contributes 10% of the crew member's annual salary. Not a match, just free money. The 401k vests over a 6 year schedule. After 2 years, the crew member is 20% vested, 3 years, 40%, 4 years 60%, etc. Crew members can opt for additional 401k deductions which are always fully vested.
