Standard 2 weeks off for every staff whether jr or sr staff
Only 10 days vacation a year with potentially 3 to 4 days floating holidays.
Good quality have nothing bad to say.
Despite being told four weeks is the max available, there are still senior editors who definitely take as many as six weeks a year. And we don't get paid any overtime, just comp days that we have to beg to use.
You get two weeks paid. That's pretty standard. The rough part of this industry is that when you're young there's a strong chance you'll work every major holiday. You end up getting "floating" holidays for working on holidays, which you can take anytime. So really, if you don't want to work on holidays, don't get into news. Pretty unavoidable.
