Trintech offers a Consumer Driven Health Plan which essentially means High Deductible health plan. People kind of get afraid when you hear the word "high deductible" but it's really not that high. The out of pocket maximum for an individual would be $2000 whereas family is $4000 for in-network and double for out-of network. Premiums are relatively low in my experience. Because of low premiums, you save a little more than you usually would if it was a PPO. Trintech also provides an HSA account with seed money to help with the Health plan to mitigate some of the out of pocket costs. With medical, Trintech also provides Dental and Vision PPO which are relatively affordable. Right now, Trintech matches 2% for 401k.
Starting January 1, 2017 the health insurance plan changed to a horrible plan. Trintech only has one health plan choice, High Deductible HSA plan where the first $3200 is 1000% out of pocket. The plan pays nothing towards prescriptions even after meeting deductible and even after max out of pocket matched. Many of my coworkers are now actively looking for new jobs. Employees feel the company no longer cares about us and our well being.
The benefit plans rock! The out of pocket costs are low compared to many companies. They also have a wellness plan that offers additional discounts.
