Lousy bonus lousy work place
Benefits are expensive to employees
Very expensive health care package
Health Insurance is extremely expensive for the employee.... >400/month for a single person PPO. Cobra was $1100/month had I opted to do Cobra.
Compared to other companies I'm familiar with Troy has one of the worst benefits packages I'm aware of. While they have many of the typical offerings, the devil is in the details. Medical insurance? Yes, but it's over $9000 a year for a basic family package! Vacation? Yes, but you must work 15 years before you get the maximum 4 weeks. Some of the new people I've spoken to had 4 or 5 weeks vacation at their previous jobs after just 5 or 10 years! Health Savings Account? Yes, but company contributes nothing. It's a tough work environment. You'd think they'd try to offer some decent benefits to make it worth it. Turnover is high.. especially among the new people who come in from other companies.
Extremely expensive health insurance (may be three to four times what is paid by employees at other companies)
The worst things about the benefits package are: 1) medical/dental premiums are incredibly expensive at over $800/month for a family; 2) prescription drug plan has high copays; 3) profit sharing plan is minimal to everyone except senior management even in good years; 4) new restrictions on vacation that restrict the use of vacation days; 5) no telecommuting; 6) Performance bonus pay out much lower than all peer companies
Health Care is good, but very expensive No LT disability
VERY HIGH COSTS over 1200 for a family of 4!
