    401K matches, Health Insurance, Disability, etc were all fine, although insurance rates seemed to always go up even as we grew as a company, although it was fairly low contribution for a single person with no children. Company perks were not well handled. No free nights (a perk we used to be offered) and while employee rates are talked about a lot, they are never available unless you have an in on property. Also the rates are quite high for the "higher end" hotels, however you'd often end up in a bad room because you were being "given a discount". Real opportunity to improve there for the company.

    Great medical, vision and dental. With options for each. Disability, life insurance 401k. Generous PTO plan. Other perks such as the virgin mobile program, discounted phone service and other employee discounts.

    Health insurance is okay. 401K match is nice but you cannot roll up your old plans into the new plan which is inconvenient. Bonus structure is horrible. Even if you exceed metrics payout is not until year end and mid year payout is embarrassing.

    The new benefits for this year built on an already pretty great package. The team member discount program is a VERY nice perk if you like to travel.

    This company has a comprehensive benefits package, that continues to improve year over year. There are also different options for the different parts of the country to ensure the choices are meaningful.

    Employee rate program has improved but all the nice properties are still too pricey ($200+). All properties should be in the $100-$150 range MAX. PTO is very low - must work several years to even get more than 10 days.

    When I first started they were still recruiting on the basis of the very nice benefits of Joie De Vivre Hotels, which were eventually phased out and employees were getting frustrated at the new direction. As with any company in transition, and a company that does truly care about their employees, they continued to improve upon the new benefits for Commune Hotels. Biggest disappointment was low PTO package, but they did drastically improve their 401k package and match, as well as offered complimentary room nights (though, as always, based on availability which often means barely ever). The shared vision for what Commune wants to be, and is striving to be is the best part. They revamped their sales bonus structure several times after listening to feedback from their sales teams. Their compensation is competitive with the industry standards, but sadly hospitality is just a low paying industry in general and with several hotels located in San Francisco, the compensation does not reflect the cost of living in the city. Home office is located in San Francisco, and the entire executive team is available to anyone at the company, at any time. This company truly feels like a family.
