the active reserve will have the same time leave as an actuve duty.
Great paternity leave, got pregnant with my son 3 months in and was able to take leave and come back to work when ready
Men receive 10 days and women receive 12 weeks. Very good benefit for service members.
I have never used it, however some friends of mine have used it and it was very beneficial
The best thing is you get the same amount of time as active duty for maternity leave. The worst is you are not covered under the military tricare insurance, you have to get regular or government assistance insurance, to give birth to your baby and receive to the proper medication to heal.
Since it is the Reserves there is no need to have M&P leave however, should a reservist be on active status, say for a deployment or such they are eligible for Paternity leave (pregnant women do not deploy) of 10 days. Keep in mind that this benefit can be used either during or after the deployment, but that it is at the commands decision and mission requirements as to whether or not the soldier is able to take this leave during or after.
