As an intern I was not privy to the benefits GAO offered, however I was made aware of what could be should I receive and accept a full-time offer.
Health insurance is excellent. There are varied choices from which to select from, depending in personal circumstances. Copayments are low, and covered medical needs are extensive. The instance's government customer service is responsive and effective. I have had no issues getting reimbursed or denied for medical care.

GAO offers it's employee's great benefits. The best one in my opinion is the student loan repayment program. The company pays a portion of your student loans each year that you apply and you have to agree to stay with the company for a set number of years.
Raises aside, GAO offers lots of flexibility and benefits not available in other agencies. Overall, GAO has focused on work-life balance and the mindset has been incorporated into the agency culture, at all levels.
