Great Health insurance, supportive HR team, maternity leave, retirement, vacation very flexible. It also made everything easier to have all benefits accessible in the portal.

I don't think I even have one, or that the provide one. Best to ask before you commit. It is a part time job, anyway, so can't expect much in terms of benefits compared to a FT job.

The best learning center and a lot of resources available to utilize.

Although there are not many benefits to being a volunteer, but the honor of volunteering is enough for me already. I wish I had the authority to help more.

Postdocs are required to contribute 7.5% of income to a 457(b) Defined Contribution Plan which has no employer matching. There are some small perks/discounts for UCI staff at various places around town (gyms, retailers, cell phone provider, theme park tickets). Health insurance coverage for postdocs was excellent, very low premium and low co-pays.

There are a lot of options. The great thing is that you can choose something more affordable for you.

StarStarStarStarStar Former Student Fundraiser in Irvine, California

Being a part time student employee, I was only allowed to work 19.5 hours a week maximum. No benefits. Had to make up hours for days off or sick days.
