Great benefits overall, as you are linked to the larger UC network.
Offers good health insurance and PTO. As a FTE you become eligible for the pension after 5 years.

Vacation and time off and pension plan
Great retirement plan with pension but you must really be sure you plan on staying. Depending on the profession or the department, plans sometime do not turn out the way as expected. Great vacation allocation, two days accumulation per month not including federal holidays. Three choice plans for medical insurance depending on your medical and coverage needs. Dental and vision included as optional add-ons. Legal option offered as well.
Depending on your position type (part time versus full time; temporary vs permanent employee etc) your benefit package will vary from fair to pretty good. One pro is that you can qualify for some benefits even in very part time status. Tuition discounts are one of the more unique benefits. Some of the employer contributions to your retirement don't vest for months or years, so those won't be very useful for short term employees.
Very strong benefits, but takes a really long time to gain extra vacation time. You start with 3 weeks.
Great health insurance through student health. Flexible time off. No way to contribute to retirement due to government stipends.
