    The pension is okay, not amazing. Otherwise, it's a typical 401a type plan. Good, not fantastic.

    seems to be a good & fair plan. and nice benefit. have to wait 5 years to be fully vested.

    One of the better packages I have seen, UCHealth has 401(a), 403(b), 457(b), and a pension. 401(a) instead of contributing to social security so that will be all of your money and a 3% match on the 403(b), but must be with the company 5 years to receive the employers contributions. In this day and age though, the reality that you will stay with a company for 5 years is probably not practical, so do not count on those dollars.

    UCHealth uses a 401(a) instead of social security. In addition they offer a 403(b) with up to 3% match and a 457(b) savings plan. This is all on top of a pension plan that vests in 5 years.

    The retirement plan at UCHealth is very good. You get a real pension as well as a 401K with employer match and a 403B.
