    TSP is a really good program (401k). FERS is a confusing system that most people are clueless about until a few years prior to retirement.

    20 years is the min to receive the benefits, that is the best thing about the Pension Plan, and if you decide to get out before 20 years, you can keep it, if you become a civilian.
