The defined benefit pension is the best thing about working for the federal government. The medical plans were not as good as when I worked for a city government.
There are benefits but it takes awhile to understand all of them and how they work, but it is decent benifit package.
The Benefits is the same as any other agency.
Pros: Flex Time offered and Vacation/ Sick Time. Cons: Retirement package is hard to understand. Supplemental training required to understand retirement. Recommend new employees attend the retirement trainings.
401k matching, health, dental/vision plan options. NO maternity leave.
Great benefits but it is kind of expensive. Probably due to ACA.
As a temporary firefighter you are only eligible for health insurance during the summer while working. The insurance is good, but by the time you get the cards and have time to do anything with it, you are laid off again.
There are no benefits for this job.
The best thing about the benefits is the TSP package. The medical and dental and vision packages aren't bad either. They are a good price.
TSP is great, decent vacation and sick leave policies.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
