“They offer several health insurance options”
“They are pretty strict with pto. ”
“Great you get a pension based on age and years of service ”
It's a pretty standard benefits package.
Its good for lifetime. But, can get expensive.
Federal Benefits are great!
Pretty good retirement plan - matches TSP up to 5%, and has a minimal pension plan that can grow to be decent over a long career. Flexible work hours and WFH, and tons of training opportunities.
Excellent benefits; relatively group health and life insurance and now 12 weeks paid maternity
Great government benefits, paid parental leave, overtime, generous leave including vacation, holiday, and sick leave, decent pay, maximum telework available, flexible hours
Matching 401 k is really excellent
Benefits such as medical, retirement, vacation are all around great.
Federal employee benefits are accessible to federal employees
Benefits of civil service are good overall, no surprise there. Flexible work schedule and ability to telework as needed is probably the biggest incentive if you’re trying to find work/life balance.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
