TSP which matches like 4% or 5% contribution, add in pension and social security. In the long run 20+ year you should be ok if you are gradually moving up in the GS pay scale.
Eligible for Thrift Savings Plan which is essential a 401k with match immediately and then Pension eligible at 5 year mark
It is a 3 prong retirement system.

Its the government it is good
Defined Benefit plan 1% per year of high three pay vested at year 5. Year 30 changes to 1.1% per year.
I was only an intern but I have heard that they have an excellent retirement plan
