Amazing retirement plan, pension is great.
All the benefits you expect, and more---health, life, counseling, discounts, tax benefits.
The best thing is that there is a pension, but in order to receive it, you need to have worked there for twenty plus years.
They use the TSP which takes a percentage of your paycheck and adds it to a retirement fund that gains interest over time.
If you do 20 years or deploy the benefits are much better.

Going through the process of Retiring from military service now. This, like the benefits, is a difficult process and requires a lot more work than enlisting for service.
Great retirement plan. You do not pay into it and you can retire after 20 years and receive pat immediatly.
