    The college benefits are great, and if you can get the GI bill from a after a war time deployment, it's the best scholarship you'll ever have

    For two to three days a month the pay isn't bad. Medical insurance is the big seller unless you are in a state that has good education benefits. Units are very hit or miss depending on the people in them. Some are really good and some are very toxic.

    retirement is always nice. most places will honor a military discount which can range from 10-30% depending on the place of business.
