Some of the best care available, latest technology, no copay if use on base Medical Treatment Facility. No or very low copay for in network provider.

All expenses are fully covered by the Navy. As long as you are active duty you will have complete access to all of your medical needs. It isn't always the best service out there, but it gets the job done.

StarStarStarStarStar Former Senior Electrical Engineer in Newport News, Virginia

    Inexpensive with very good coverage

  • Apr 11, 2019
StarStarStarStarStar Current Fire Controlman (Tomahawk Technician) in Mayport, Florida

I think the insurance is pretty good considering that you pay virtually nothing to cover yourself and family as an active duty member

  • Apr 10, 2019
StarStarStarStarStar Current Employee in Charleston, South Carolina

Medical is outstanding for family members, care for active duty is free, but not usually the best that is available

StarStarStarStarStar Current Employee in San Diego, California

    Great coverage, sometimes questionable doctors

  • Apr 05, 2019
StarStarStarStarStar Current US Navy Enlisted in Honolulu, Hawaii

Overall the benefits are decent but are geared to favor people in ideal situations or circumstances. There is little to no freedom of choice on how to structure your individual benefits package.

StarStarStarStarStar Former Machinist Mate Weapons Submarines - Petty Officer First Class in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii

Insurance for pennies on the dollar. Some local on base care can be hit or miss on the quality of care. But overall you cannot beat the insurance.

  • Apr 03, 2019
StarStarStarStarStar Former Reactor Control Division Chief in Groton, Connecticut

Coverage is comprehensive. Care can range from exceptional to average depending on the location you are assigned.

great health benefits for the price
