Eliminated sick and personal time and added 1 day of "PTO" while requiring 10 to 20% unpaid overtime. Basically a Dilbert HR move. Paid holidays are great including the shutdown over Christmas, but 3 weeks of PTO with no sick, personal or paternity leave is dicey for folks with young children, a medical condition, aging parents, etc.

One thing that amazed me when I first came on board was that they closed down and paid for a week between Christmas and New Year’s. With the addition of holiday pay we would be off from 12/24 to ½ or more depending weekends. This is on top of generous vacation time during the year.

Generous amount of PTO even for starting employees but difficult to use it with "suggested" overtime. Now also must use PTO for sick.

Lockheed Martin, which became United Launch Alliance, has always offered the great benefit of vacation, which of course, increased in quantity in relation to how many years one had with the company, and, they also moved to the Paid Time Off system, which worked very well for me as I was able to use my sick time, which was rarely utilized, as vacation time, and when and how you could use it was very flexible. Also, the company allows employees to build up (18) hours of PTO when the work Unpaid Overtime, which can also be used the same as vacation time or sick time, and can be used "when needed", excellent benefit that I utilized quite a bit.

I had 3 weeks vacation time carried over from my previous job at the Boeing company. I could flex my schedule as necessary for arrival or departure times on the job. Very happy as I could work around traffic to get to and from work.

Vacation and PTO are combined with sick time, so if you get sick, its almost like you are motivated to go into office so you don't have to waste vacation. I think its 3 weeks starting out? So 'okay' overall

Sick time has been taken away and replaced with paid time off. Unfortunately the PTO is not significantly more than the vacation time I received when I joined the company. In effect I have one day per year of sick time before I have to use my vacation time.
