Health insurance is excellent. No out of pocket expenses
paid healthcare, no employee contributions
401 k plan and no out of pocket for health care
Health insurance is great for my family and what it covers. We recently switched carriers but it hasn't affected the drs we have seen or the care we receive.
Health insurance at the time was noncontributory. Low minimum copay, with a thirty dollar limit prescriptions. They had a non matching 401K, which I did not participate in. They had a non contributory pension plan. When I retired I took the buyout. They had yearly bonuses, but sometimes when the company lost money the employees did not get anything.
Benefits are some of the cheapest I've ever had. Other employees do not have to pay at all for their health benefits. Some employees have retirements, while others utilize the 401k with company match and stock options.
Do not let the benefit know what the options are
Amazing benefits package at U. S. Steel!! They recently started offering much more, including Paternity leave in addition to Maternity leave. Tuition reimbursement is very competitive, and managers are more than willing to be flexible with your schedule while attending school. The bonus each year varies, but when times are good for the steel industry, bonuses are huge! Awesome company to work for.
