UTC designs the benefit package as an investment in the employee. For me, it wasn't the reason I took the job, but was a good reason to stay.
i did not get any benefits
The employee scholar program pays for 100% of tuition, books, and fees for degrees with certain accredited institions. I forget the exact total amount, but was at least $60k.
Breadth of benefit package was good.
Three paid weeks vacation upon start. All the standard corporate benefits packages included. Health plan is HDHP and is essentially free after you complete the health assessment and make progress towards being healthy. Best in the industry employee scholar program.
Cigna, fairly easy to use.
The sick leave is moderately generous, vacation is not terrible. Insurance offerings are horrifically subpar.
Fantastic benefits. 401k is fine, but the benefits go much, much deeper than retirement. They've got counselors for life issues, flexible work arrangements, discounts from car manufacturers (most are below dealer cost), the list goes on. Best benefit package I've ever had
best thing is their comprehensive health care coverage.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
