Best thing is it is they offer a lot of options and their cheapest one was called VIVA UAB. This allowed you to go to doctors basically in the Birmingham area. Worked out perfect for me.

Viva health insurance is fine and is actually pretty affordable. However I do believe they could get a better rate fro Blue Cross Blue Shield.

No vision, dental, and no ability to see doctors outside of the city, which can be frustrating when you are sick and not home.

While I was there, I subscribed to the UAB branded healthcare. With it you can only see UAB doctors. Which for me and my family that was fine.
