Time off allowance is excellent. Having a separate pool of sick time is also nice. Retirement contribution is top notch at 10% match. Tuition benefits are also nice if you or a family member is pursuing a degree.
The best company perk is the tuition discount for employees. The retirement plan options are decent. However, we are now forced to contribute a selected amount for retirement. The life, dental, and vision are very affordable. On the other hand, the health benefits have very high premiums that are often too high for those who make under 30,000.
If you contribute 10% to your retirement, they match up to 10%.
Great vacation and 401k matching
The university had a long history of keeping premiums low
For non-classified employees, the benefits are amazing. I earned 15 hours of vacation and 8 hours of sick leave each month. Instituton is closed for nearly 3 weeks during Christmas holiday and is closed on all federal and state holidays.
Retirement is the best for APERS. They have to match around 15% now of your yearly salary. TIAA-CREF and Fidelity (403b) matches only 10%. You have to have APERS to bring into the university though. They will not let you select APERS, if you don't already have it. If you don't have a break of service from the State of Arkansas for more than 6 months, then you can stay on the non-contributory plan. If break of service is more than 6 months, you have to change to contributory.
Best- Covers entire tuition for a Graduate student Worst- No dental insurance, you have to partially pay for the healthcare
If your not full-time there is no benefit package.
Generous time off if you're a non-classified employee. Good health insurance, albeit a little pricey if you choose coverage for more than just the employee. Very generous retirement matching. Two weeks off at Christmas is a huge plus. Overall would recommend.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
