    I did not receive dental insurance since I am a student employee

    Dental insurance is not good compared to health insurance.

    Dental insurance covers most of the benefits to the graduate students. This also covers to the dependencies.

    if you go to an out of network dentist you'll have to pay a lot extra (obviously.) One snag I ran into was my dental covered metal fillings, but the dentist only did ceramic fillings so I had to pay the extra because I got the fancy fillings instead of metal ones because the dentist was only "partially" in my network.

    Most preventative care is covered (x-rays, cleaning, etc.). Low cost for fillings. Have to pay 20 dollar co-pay for office visits.
