Plenty of health insurance options to choose from. Great benefits, allows you to contribute toward retirement. Many people at UIC retire in their 50's.
To my recollection, I don't remember there being any benefits package when you are working as an undergraduate teaching assistant.
There really are no benefits for the Computer Science Peer tutor role. Just the pay hike was pretty good.
It's so so, decent vacation time. No retirement matches till you work 5y plus. Dental is not great, long delay in reimbursement.
It is an okay benefit for a research assistant. But, more than this you will enjoy the workplace and the people around are extremely helpful.
this position has No bonus/flexible time
-Health insurance at its best. -Vacation accrual is 26 days per year and 12 days sick and 2 floating holidays and one week gift holidays shut down from Christmas to the new year. -Very good pension benefits -Compensation is based on union negotiations so there can be even 2 year periods with no basic increase to the salary number. And no bonus.
