    Sick time is plentiful. If you do not have enough sick days, you could work overtime the following day or week to ensure that you made up a 40 hour work week

    I could never use all the time I had, even when I would take the "drinking flu" days. I think when I left the university I had worked there for 5 years and I had almost two or three months of sick time left.

    I can apply for sick days from my adviser, generally there is no problem about it.
