Better choice if you need help on tuition. Meanwhile, the hourly rate is not bad.
No Benefits as as ACD
Employee-only medical premiums are paid by the university (the state), meaning there is no out-of-pocket cost for medical. Dental and vision premiums are low for employee only.
Benefits do include compensation for your health insurance, and a 401k if you wish to open one up. Overall, pretty decent benefits for a teaching position as a graduate student.
I got tuition wavier for the semester but there is no insurance and other benefits for the part time job holders.
