Group insurance plans are offered with a significant employer contribution. Employee contributions are payroll deducted on a pre-tax basis. Health insurance coverage is provided by the State of Florida Group Health Insurance Program. Family or single coverage is available from a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) or Health Maintenance Organization (HMO).

Avmed health insurance is very comprehensive.
My health insurance was astronomical before I switched to my current health plan under USF, it is now $50 a month for myself and when I switch my family over in the future, it will be $150 per month (no cap of add'l members).
