Very Good. Given UT's size coverage was great.

Health insurance could be better, student health insurance isn't sufficient for individuals who aren't young and healthy

The graduate research assistantship stipend is enough to cover your living expenses, mandatory course fees

There is a nice 403b match. There are online portals for everything (insurance, 403b, paystubs, etc) so it is easier to keep track.

They offer reasonable health insurance, although dental and optical are extras you have to add on and pay for yourself. As a state employee you get life insurance, although this isn't very good.

University of Tennessee is a great university. It is in a great location, close to the great smoky mountain. The benefits are good too.

Student health insurance requires a referral for providers outside the student health center. If you aren't full time student, a student health fee must be paid every semester to visit the health center, even if you are only getting a referral.
