The Teacher Retirement System of Texas is unbeatable when it comes to long-haul retirement compensation. Leaving early takes some heavy penalties though, so make sure to have a backup plan.
Great health care as it is all paid for by the state should you be a single person.
UT provides pretty good medical insurance and options for affordable dental and vision insurance. They also provide a lot of different initiatives for healthier living including weight management.
Health, dental, and vision insurance is pretty incredible. The University covers your monthly medical insurance, so nothing is deducted from your paycheck each month!
The package is very extensive and great for families. It covers all essential aspects and hardly takes from pay. One of the better packages in the State.
The best thing about benefits is medical is 100% paid for. Worst thing is co-pay is a bit high.
It has great benefits. Overtime has to be time taken off and not paid out until the end of the fiscal year. That is my only complaint. Your vacation earned increases the longer you work here so a lot of accrued over-time isn't necessary. Being paid the extra time monthly would be nice.
Flexible time off. Good Hours if you need them.
There were great package for international graduate students - they pay tuition fee and medical insurance, also they pay salary for work as research and teaching assistant.
