The relationship between academics and middle-level management is pretty good because they’re both slaves to the same system. But, in my experience, senior management are usually looking to their own careers, rather than to their institution. There’s a cycle of innovation and hype every couple of years as a new batch of managers come in and decide how to leave their mark.
Best thing is the optical program, its fairly cheap and easy to use. Worst thing, and not even by that much, is the dental plan. The cheapest plan for dental is around $20-30 is an HMO and there is only 1 place in my city accepts HMO and its always to busy for walk-ins and appointments need to be months in advance.
The best thing about working as an Undergraduate Researcher is that you get your own schedule and work when you have time.
