Health insurance is okay, not the best.
Overall I've been very pleased. I've had serious surgeries and various doctor visits that followed, and the coverage has been great and the deductible is reasonable. If you're seeing doctors within the UVA health system, everything is great. Options outside of it are more limited.
comprehensive health, dental, vision coverage
Health insurance was great. Was able to get an HSA, which was subsidized by the University through the savings by choosing the plan.
The student health insurance covers many options and many medicines are given for a good discount.
High-deductible plan includes a $1000 employer contribution to HSA
covers most of my doctor visit (annual check, cavity fill up)
Getting more and more expensive, but still good enough.
Benefits were fairly comprehensive for a public university.
Coverage is decent, but the overall sign up process is more confusing than other universities I've worked with.
