The only real selection was Regence Uniform Medical. It was just okay.
we have excellent health insurance - full coverage with a reasonable cost to the employee.
Free office visits. List of dentists could be increased.
It's the first one I've had through an employer, so I don't have a basis of comparison
It covers most major medical instances. You can go to Hall Health for almost anything, from general practitioners to physical therapy. There is also a mental health department, but the wait times on the latter can be long. In the meantime you can join groups for therapy if you have anxiety or depression to talk with other students that I liked a lot
Good price and good company
The University of Washington health insurance benefit allows the employee to choose from several plans. The plans are affordable. They are not free.
They had multiple plans, so you could probably make sure you were on a plan where you'd get to keep your current doctor. Additionally, I was able to have a plan that covered me, even though I lived out of the state.
What's the worst thing about the insurance? What is covered is not always obvious and it can take a lot of time, energy, effort to figure that out. I think that applies to most Health Insurance. One of the benefits that sucks - the retirement monies are not accessible AT ALL until severance.
Coverage is excellent, plus fees are even lower if you use hall health instead of your own provider. No problems with the insurance co-pay costs.
