Good options. Reasonable premiums. Comparable to corporate jobs.

Vision coverage is minimal and approved locations are confusing given the fact that you can't go to the UW clinic for most care even though it's on site...

StarStarStarStarStar Current Assistant Dean in Seattle, Washington State

There are numerous health insurance options offered through the benefits plan. Some are extremely comprehensive, others are more streamlined, with corresponding premiums and copayments. Good to have so many options, although it could be confusing for the uninitiated.

If you live in Seattle using UW's Kaiser option is pretty convenient in my opinion. Not too pricey, low deductible and it's obvious where you should go for any treatment.
