Different options for what works best for you.
It's crazy that it is an insurance company but our benefits were less than the options offered to some of our clients. As I was leaving, they did implement better benefits for mothers and fathers to bnd with their newborn children but, overall, it wasn't much to write home about.
They offer great benefits at Unum - very competitive
their vision insurance is a joke.
401k was pretty good.
Best things: generous paid time off; flexible work hours; full insurance offerings; tuition assistance; child care assistance for those that qualify.
The benefits at Unum are top knotch.
The 401k match and company contributions were amazing, but the health plan was only so-so, and I opted to stay on my parents' as long as I could instead of switching to Unum's.
Great vacation time and lots of other benefits
Paid Parental leave and ability to use unused PTO time to pay towards student loans
