Great benefits with generous PTO
Decent medical plan, but more costly than many others. Salaries historically below market but slowly improving
Unum offers great health insurance and good matching on 401k plan
They have a very robust benefit package.
Offer 3 types of health plans, 401k is a percentage of salary contribution, some local companies offer discounts to employees. Beginning in 2019 Unum changed to their own dental program which is not as wide of a network as prior carrier. They are working to expand, but it will take some years. Vision is ok.
Great benefits. You start with about three workweeks worth of vacation/sick. There are three tiers of Helth insurance options, the most expensive option has a super low deductible and is around $400 per month for a family. The middle plan is about $250 for an entire family with a $1500 per person deductible. The lowest plan is not great, but it’s only only about $150 per month for a family. Each plan is about a third of that price if you want insurance just for yourself with no coverage for a spouse or children. With both of the cheaper plans, Unum gives you $$$ in an HSA as well. There is also a dependent care flex account, amazing disability insurance, 5% 401k matching, awesome dental and vision, and more. They also offer paid maternity and paternity leave.
20 days of PTO from the start date which is very generous.
Better than most employers in Portland or New England for that matter.
As with most companies, they have recently moved to higher deductible plans, but they are still better than most.
Lots of benefits. Almost too many to go through. I had to ask for help navigating them to make sure I didn't miss anything.
