Overall a good competitive package is offered.
Pros: remote work option, flexible work hours, decent health, dental, and vision plan, good retirement plan
Urban has a generous retirement package
Great peer network across junior staff!
Superior benefits package, particularly retirement.
Benefits package is really good.
The traditional benefits leave much to be desired. For a research organization that produces data on these topics I'm floored about how bad the health, dental and parental leave options are for employees. It's challenging to find a dentist who accepts the plan, the paid maternity leave is very short, and the if you flex your medical be prepared to fight for coverage after the fact. The flexibility offered during the pandemic has been wonderful. Urban cares about their employees and we went remote very quickly. I don't stay here for the traditional benefits (health/vacation/parental leave) but they do allow their staff flexibility and I have always felt that my coworkers and managers care about each other. Ending on a happy note their retirement matching is excellent.
Great 403b contribution, healthy pto accural, insurance is decent, on the prcier side if you have a family.
Fair health insurance. Telework policy can be rather inflexible.
Overall they have a good benefits package
