it was quick and easy training provided by the ex hiring manager and an ex employee.
Best: It's fairly simple tasks Worst: the employees train you, not the managers so most of the time you have to keep asking questions since the managers didn't run everything down with you
Very quick process (2-3 hrs), I still felt very inexperienced afterwards
Job Training was pretty good, you got trained by both management and by fellow employees and they had a booklet to make sure that you actually learned everything.
Training is very sporadic depending on who is chosen to train you - I didn't get a lot of key information
depends on the manager but you get pretty much thrown in and not much training
People who work for Urban are very passionate about retail so job training is really strong.
Urban Outfitters uses current associates to train new-hires and honestly just kind of throw you in the water and its sink or swim. Its fairly easy to learn how to maintain the fitting rooms and greet customers.
I was trained by a fellow employee and it went well. No pressure, everyone was very helpful and patient.
You learn in the baptism by fire method.
