Good health insurance options and 401k. I would like to see more aggressive company matching & stock options.
Every kind of benefit is minimum.
Benefits are not affordable based on pay
Beat is the discount for your pets. Worst is the health insurance it terrible and expensive
The health benefits offered were actually very good for me. You could either have a comprehensive sive package, or have them take a certain amount out of each paycheck for an HSA fund.
Very high premiums in addition to very high out of pocket costs, most employees carry significant medical debt and/or avoid seeking medical care unless it is an emergency. Veterinarians pay significantly less in premiums than other employees which is just one of they ways it is clear veterinarians are valued higher than the rest of the staf..
The only good thing was the large discount on veterinary care and products for your own pets, and free vaccines. Everything else sucked.
You can get benifets in 30 days for full time work.
401k, partial premiums for health vision and dental. Low CE allowance that has to be used for association dues and Vin; leaving very little for travel, lodging, tuition for meetings like AVMA. Basically plan on spending about $1000 out of pocket each year minimum if you go to a meeting. Negative accrual will deduct earning from a good month to pay for a bad month ( i.e. Holidays season ).
Premiums are high, doesn't cover very much and the deductibles are also really high. The only good thing working here is the discounts if you're full time.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
