Best thing they offer is flexibility in working hours. Established core hours of 8AM to 330PM earlier in 2018, then added on option to work half day Fridays. Time away from work is treated the same and pooled together. Jury Duty and Bereavement are paid by the company. Health insurance is pretty good, maybe not great, but seems better than the other places around them. They offered onsite flu shots in 2018 which was nice. The company seems very willing to pay for ongoing education or professional development but they typically ask the employee take paid time off or work extra hours to cover what it takes away from the work week. They recently rolled out an employee discount program which seems like it has some good deal. It does seem like they put a lot of attention into adding benefits whenever possible.
Valdes is a very flexible company with summer hours and core hours options. Benefits are standard plus for industry. Managers are good with flexing time when you don't have PTO. I know this isn't a "benefits" thing but they also pay for a lot of little things that add up like safety gear and TWIC cards. I've been at other places that make you pay on your own...
Health insurance is with Blue Cross, Blue Shield of IL with several levels of deductibles to choose. Very good plans!
Pretty Average. Choice of HDHP with HSA or traditional health insurance plans. However, matching for 401k was reduced and choice of working 4 10 hour days was taken away before I left.
