Standard package, health, dental, vision, etc, choices for high deductible, hsa, FSA,
Vanderbilt University Medical Center uses a 403 (b) retirement plan with good matching. Health insurance is great of course. Pretty happy with their offerings.
Best thing - Vanderbilt offers tuition reimbursement for yourself and children. Was after 5 years of employment but it was changed to 10 years. PTO is great and all given at once - beginning of fiscal year.
Match the IRA contribution
I think the benefits could be better, and the fact that staff has deductible for there hospital, should be none. They can have co-pays, but being an employee working there should be no deductible for employees.
vacation time is good. insurance plan becomes worse year by year
The benefits package at VUMC is definitely one of the best I've seen. More time off than peers, bereavement time, retirement matching, paid holidays, and the tuition reimbursement (planning to use) have been great to have. I can't compare health insurance costs to other experiences, but seems reasonable, and care is certainly cheaper when you go in network.
Best thing about the benefits package is cheap office co-pays and prescriptions
22 PTO, employee discount
Health Benefits are great for medical at Vanderbilt. But if you have an urgent issue it is faster to go anywhere else. The wait for appointments and options for mental health are laughable.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
