Every thing is satisfactory for me. The health insurance can be better. But it went through the Vanderbilt Medical Center which is very nice.
I didn't get a package because of my position. I was able to be still treated as an employee and got discounts though.
parental leave at Vanderbilt is behind the times - only two weeks paid leave
Great perks but then salary is ok. I suppose you can't have both!
Best: 403B Worst: Paid off time
tuition is expensive, even for business schools
Best thing is the tuition assistance for up to 3 children of faculty - its a percentage of the vanderbilt university fee and is a big plus!
Good medical insurance for a family. 5% of salary for retire plan.
good benefits, 401K and access to a fantastic medical center, even get a free turkey for christmas :-)
The best thing is that benefits start on day one. It's great not to have a waiting period. They offer medical, dental, and vision. You can select all three or just the ones you want. There is also a great paid time off policy that includes a winter break between Christmas and the new year!
