“The best thing is the employer contribution to the health saving account and the worst thing is high deductible. If someone needs to see their doctors often, the medical costs are a lot more even with the annual employer contribution. ”
“Sufficient PTOs and you can always purchase additional PTOs up to 5 days/year”
“14% employer contribution. Fully vested after 6y”
Vanguard really takes care of crew with their benefits package
The best benefit is their 401k. The employer contribution is 14% with 4% match and 10% paid out every quarter. The worst benefit is the healthcare insurance that has switched to high deductible with no other choices.
Vanguard has excellent benefits package that include dental, vison, medical. Also, they have flex fund where you are given certain amount a year for subscriptions, gym membership, education, etc
Hybrid schedule for most employees
FIRE Financial Independence Retire Early
I have a Vanguard 401k 2055 Target Date Fund but seeing it’s performance recently, I’ve decided to split this up and allocate some to a more conservative 2030 Target Date Fund. Also added some Real Estate Index Fund and Mid Cap Growth to the mix to try and balance things out. Currently taking a more active approach in rebalancing my investments but aim to increase the 2055 allocation eventually. Is this a practical move considering the current times or should I keep majority on my 2055? 😩
