health insurance, 401k, credit union membership eligibility
Awful “benefits.” Costly health insurance with poor coverage, no dental/ vision/ psych. 1 week paid vaca toon per year, but that week is earned over the course of a year so employees don’t get any vacation time until over a year of employment.
The best thing is the retirement match, 100% at first 4%, then 50% on next 2%. Highly recommend taking advantage of this availability. The worst thing is all other benefits. Very expensive options for medical insurance, with cost for employees increasing substantially every year. You essentially earn less the more you work there, because despite benefits increasing raises are nonexistent, even after years of service. Vacation days are average. Christmas holiday time is longer than non-Christian companies. After 4 years of working for the university, they will help pay part of your tuition for attending courses (this is not as good as the industry average, as wait time is typically less.)
Nothing outstanding about the benefits package. They pay 2% toward retirement and we pay for our own health insurance.
Great benefit packages. Good options to choose from
