Verizon stresses a work/life balance and they make it a priority.

2 weeks vacation, 56 hours of paid personal time, and 40 hours of paid sick time. These are accrual benefits, but you are able to take them in advance of their respective accrual. Your time is available to you on day 1, although using that time within the first 15 weeks is generally frowned upon.

I have never been with a company who gave so much time off. Vacation, Personal, Sick, ESNs and Flex time. Just amazing!

If your in management good luck using it. Leadership acts like its an inconvenience when you try and use it. longer your there more you get. they just restructure the years and what you get so might be out of the loop

Payed time off is like other companies , seven days, and vacation is also like other places based on years of service (four weeks for 15 years of service) in the company

Retail black out dates during Q4 are the worst, you will more than likely work immediately before/after thanksgiving, christmas and new years day. Other than Q4 (which at Verizon is Oct thru December), you'll have better chances of getting to use your vacation & paid time off.

Vacation is pretty good. Except you may have to beg your manager for time off especially around holidays. I basicall missed all holidays with my family while working for this company
