Heard it's not that great (I haven't taken it personally)
Could be longer, it’s just about the minimum I could get. For a forward thinking company, it’s not forward thinking on their maternity leave
Better leave than many other companies.
They are flexible for new moms. They do the standard 3 months but you can also take sick days if you need more time.
New mothers rooms are a big plus.
This is what I have learned so far: UNPAID 12 Weeks -The Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) allows eligible employees to take up to a total of 12 weeks of unpaid leave within a rolling 12-month period for family and medical reasons. During these 12 weeks, FMLA provides certain job protections. During any period of unpaid FMLA leave, you will be required to apply a paid leave available to you under Viacom’s policies (e.g., PTO/Vacation days, Parental, Serious Illness in the Family, or short term disability paid leaves), to the extent permitted by applicable law. PAID 4 Weeks - Regular, full-time employees are entitled to take leave under Viacom’s Parental Leave of Absence Program, which provides up to 4 weeks paid leave to be taken within the first 12 months of the birth of a child. Regular, full-time employees are entitled to take leave under Viacom’s Parental Leave of Absence Program of up to 6 weeks for adoption of a child, or the placement of a foster child. Always feel there should be more time off for new mother and fathers
Competitive for media, not competitive for start-up culture.
Very generous paternity leave policy.
