Paid time off was a super awesome part of working there however actually getting time off was sometimes very difficult. It really depended on what department you were in and if the day you wanted off was a holiday or near a holiday. Those were sometime impossible to get off.
as a manager you get unlimited PTO
PTO there is really nice now that they started having you earn unlimited days off. They're usually pretty flexible about what days you can and cannot get off. Getting paid to go skiing is nice. They also have a lot of voluntary time off in the summer. You don't get paid, but you get to not be screamed at by customers for a day without getting in trouble for not being there.
You get decent amounts of PTO if you work 70 hours a week, but not if you work 40, I hope you dont need time off ever.
Depending on your management you get standard leave like most companies.
Great unlimited time off for salary employees but I found myself feeling guilty if it was frequent. I think I worked more, but had the perception of more time off.
Its a earn hours as you work program but you don't earn very much. You are forced to use it for things like doctors appointment, etc... so its hard to get enough for a vacation. You are told that you can't use your time off at certain times of the year.
At the lower levels of the company, you only got 2 weeks off/year, but you were able to get up to 8 paid holidays.
Only 10 days of PTO which is low for the area since there are no adiitional sick days available.
Vivint just switched from their normal PTO to having none, but the policy that as long as your manager approves you can take as much paid time off as they will allow. I prefer earning my hours and knowing that they are there to use when I want rather than hoping my boss approves time off. It feels like I am asking for a favor rather than being entitled to the PTO I earn.
