FMLA is a right under federal law. However, the HR department is very disorganized and does not administer this flowlessly, as they are supposed to do it.
They do not offer this. It is unusual for a recruiter to offer it. You will need to use sick leave accrued at .3 days a week. Or unpaid time off.

I wouldn't recommend taking a lot of time off. You can't do that with this company.
